The natural world has been a constant source of joy and wonder in my life — forests, birds, animals, and the quiet beauty of landscapes remind me how much richness exists beyond our own lives. And it has given unconditionally, asking nothing in return.
Increasingly I feel that we give no space to these living systems, almost no voice in the decisions that shape their future. Forests are cleared, habitats shrink, and species disappear, often without their survival — let alone their interests — being part of the conversation. In the process, we are also losing wonders we may not even fully understand yet, and the consequences of that loss may only become visible much later.
I have also seen how small, thoughtful choices can add up to meaningful change. Joining ‘LivingMyPromise’ feels like a way to align my values with my actions. Equally important is the opportunity to be part of a community that will strengthen and sharpen this commitment over time.
If a portion of what I have been fortunate to earn can help protect a forest, give an animal a safer home, or simply allow a tree, a shrub, or a patch of wilderness the chance to just be, that feels deeply worthwhile.
